User's Question

I am a mother of 15 year old daughter. My daughter behaves rudely to her father. He is worried about her, and we don't know how to control her. So to develop her understanding with him, he stops her all outdoor activities, and also now she is not allowed to speak with her friends over the phone. He is suggesting that if she does not change her behavior with us, she will never behave properly with others. What is your opinion on this matter?

Dear, it is very essential that both you and your husband should understand that your daughter is passing through one of the critical life stages, which contains many physical, psychological and emotional developments. This period of time ha to pass safely and peacefully in order to avoid any emotional or behavioral disorders in the future. Therefore, I suggest the following steps such as: stop immediately any type of physical or psychological violence against your daughter. Try to listen carefully to your daughter about her ambitions, hopes, dreams, and fears. Try to be patient with her as much as you can, don’t rely on action and reaction style in communication with her. Try to involve some of her close friends to help to communicate with her peacefully and calmly. It is very crucial to try to find out the real reasons behind her behaviors. Try your best as parent to be close to her to be kind with her to share her with her interests and thoughts. Finally, you may need to consult an online psychologist for further help. Take wise decision
