Dear, as you may know that depression is a common but serious mood disorder. Depression is a mental disorder that affects more than 350 million people across the globe. According to the World health organization (WHO), it’s the leading cause of disability, a major contributor to global disease, and it leads to suicide and some people may be prone to it more than others. Depression causes severe symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working. To be diagnosed with depression, the symptoms must be present for at least two weeks. Depression can happen at any age from infancy, early childhood, adult, middle age and elderly age, but in every age group there are some signs and symptoms slightly differ from other age group. In certain studies some researchers demonstrate the presence of depression in some mammals, animals like horses, shark, and Whales.  Thanks for asking
