I get sad, with colours. Why?

Colours often depress me a lot. Not all colours. Whenever, I encounter some specific colours, there is a rapid mood change within me. I get angry, sometimes, I get depressed and sometimes demotivated. I know that colours affect our mood, but for me it happens significantly, which I feel is not natural. For e.g. if it is a cloudy and outside the sky is partially grey and white, I feel the most morose situation that can happen is this, as if the world has come to an end, there is no hope and everything is over, usually in such a situation, I lose all energy to get up and work. Again if a raw green colour is worn by someone, I feel disgusted, I don't want to see that person; if there is something very pale in front of me, I feel like vomitting. if I see a grey blue shade in water or things like that, I feel a breathing problem, as if I am trapped and cannot find the way..What is this? Wat can I do to change it?

Dear user, yes, you are right color plays an important role in brand identity, it draws consumers to products, stirs emotions and has a huge impact on brand recognition. Colors can make us feel happy or sad… they can make us feel hungry or relaxed.  Color impacts our emotions and behaviors. E.g. Warm colors, Red, orange and yellow are next to each other on the wheel and are all warm colors. Warm colors often evoke feelings of happiness, optimism and energy. However, yellow and orange can also slightly irritate the eyes and red can increase a person’s appetite.

Cool colors, include green, blue, and purple. Cool colors are usually calming and soothing, but can also express sadness. Purple is often used to help spark creativity as it’s a mixture of blue (calm) and red (intense). If a company wants to display health, beauty or security, incorporate these colors.

Neutral colors include black, gray, white, tan and brown. In design, these colors are great as background colors. Use black, gray and white when using brighter colors. If you are using textures, then incorporate tan and brown as your backdrop.

It is important to note that colors can be subjective – what might make one person feel cheerful can make another person feel irritated depending on the viewers’ past experiences or cultural differences. Color is not completely agreed on universally and can appeal differently to individual countries. Anyway, it is very crucial for you to train yourself how to use the color in the most appropriate way and to understand that if you feel upset that because of something related to you yourself, and your past life experiences.
