User's Question

I am suffering with anxiety and depression. Medication and psychotherapy sessions are going on. I am very much interested to do art therapy and I live in a place where getting profession help is not so easy. Can I do it by myself and how?

Dear, when  a professional psychotherapist is helping you with the psychotherapy methods, why do you want to do a therapy yourself? That is a wrong practice because the therapy you may do yourself may interfere with other therapies. For example, CBT in itself is more than enough for anxiety disorder. If you injest art therapy, the cognitive process get disturbed and CBT may not give you the desired result. I suggest you to talk to your psychotherapist for advise. Take care,
